The Central Agencies Coordinating Committee (CACC) is established under Section 24 of the Prime Minister & National Executive Council Act 2002. The Committee plays a key role in supporting the effective coordination of government policies through technical vetting and clearance before they go to the National Executive Council (NEC), facilitated through the Office of National Executive Council.

Membership of the CACC
The Secretary for Finance and the Secretary for Foreign Affairs serve as co-opted members, while the Secretary to the National Executive Council serves as an ex-officio member.
Functions & Responsibilities
Among its key responsibilities, the CACC assists the Prime Minister, the National Executive Council, and Ministerial Committees by reviewing and making recommendations on NEC submissions. The Committee also ensures that NEC decisions are effectively implemented and reports to the NEC on the progress of their implementation.
In addition, the CACC may undertake investigations and prepare reports on matters referred to it by the Prime Minister, NEC, or Ministerial Committees. It is also responsible for ensuring the timely submission of annual reports to NEC by department and agency heads.
All departmental heads, heads of public bodies, provincial administrators, and public service officers are required to cooperate with the CACC in carrying out its functions and exercising its powers as provided under the Prime Minister & NEC Act 2002.
